THE ARTS

BLU Educational Foundation understands the importance of art and makes a point to expose students to different forms of art and opportunities. We believe providing artistic and cultural opportunities are especially important given the lack of emphasis on and funding for arts programs in schools. Since its inception BLU has taken students to local museums, musical events, and film festivals.

Recent arts programming includes a trip to the Black Boy Art Show, the Hip Hop til Infinity immersive museum exhibition and a performance by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Whether it be participating in cultural and artistic activities during our regular College Exodus Project programming or arts trips in the community, the arts remain an important focus area for BLU Educational Foundation.
