BLU Educational Foundation, the premier college access organization in the Inland Empire, is building its team for the future! We are elevating our mission to provide educational and human services programming to youth, adults and organizations in order to build healthy, productive communities.

 

We are recruiting a team of professionals dedicated to this mission, who aspire to be leaders, are entrepreneurial, confident communicators, emotionally mature, and committed to the long-term success of the Inland Empire.

We are recruiting for the following positions: 

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant’s (EA) primary role is to support/organize the CEO, ensuring they are focused on leadership and strategic priorities.  The EA reports directly to the CEO and serves as the right-hand; keeps them abreast of their management priorities on a daily basis and makes sure they are prepared for all key responsibilities and interactions.

College Success Advisor (student position)    (Coming Soon)

The College Success Advisor (CSA) will assist with implementation and case management of a college access program for Inland Empire students. The CSA will provide college and career planning support to students and parents virtually (via phone, email, text and online) as part of a regional College Success Initiative.

INTERNSHIPS

BLU Print External Internship Program

The BLU Print Summer Internship Program is open to students from the Inland Empire who are currently enrolled in college or are a high school junior or senior.

​

BLU will train students and place them in external internships in industries related to our 7 Purposeful Pathways. (Arts, Education, Environmentalism, Business, Health, STEM, or Social Justice)

​

Students will be paid a $1700 stipend upon completion of the internship.

BLU Internal Summer Internship Program

BLU's summer Internship is open to college students from the Inland Empire who are currently enrolled in college anywhere in the United States.
**High School students may apply if they will be in enrolled in college for Fall 2024 and at least 17 years old.

​

Interns in this program will develop and run programming in one of the following ways:

Black History Camp
Develop and conduct an educational cultural day-camp for 4th through 8th grade students, held over 4 days.

College & Career Access
Outreach to high school students regarding educational planning and enrollment in college. Assist with the planning of our annual College Connection Cookout and other summer activities.
Film, Media, and Marketing
Creating and curating social impact narrative content, including photography and short films. Projects may involve marketing, social media, development and management of BLU program communications.
Public Policy & Advocacy
Assist with advancing and expanding BLU’s policy and advocacy work on issues related to higher education, Black educational achievement and public lands.

Students will be paid a $1700 stipend upon completion of the internship. (An additional $500-$1000 scholarship for exemplary performance)
