Student Leadership Training
Centering diverse voices, The Institute will address a myriad of issues relevant for a thriving college environment and will integrate topics including: Public Speaking, Personal Branding & Messaging, Goal Setting, Data Analysis, Stakeholder and Constituency Engagement, Advocacy and major policy issues impacting the community college system.
Upon completion of this training, student leaders will walk away with sharpened leadership and advocacy skills, a grassroots and equity approach to systems change and opportunities to engage and partner with key stakeholders to improve the educational outcomes of fellow college students.

Program Overview

1-day Intensive Retreat + 5 Monthly Sessions + Peer Support

Grooming opportunities that support leaders’ learning and skills development

Timeframe: April 2021 - September 2021
Monthly Meetings: 1st Saturdays of the Month, 9am-12pm
Policy Focus Areas
Participants will be exposed to five policy/practice areas as a foundation to their public leadership.
